Dirty Rotten Scoundrels premiered in San Diego, California on September 22, 2004, before moving to Broadway, where it began its current run in January 2005 and officially opened in March. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels won the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical in 2005.
