Genesee Theatre is a concert hall in Waukegan, Illinois. The Genesee Theatre, which has seats for 2,416 people and opened in 1927 as both a vaudeville theatre and cinema, hosts many different musical artists and shows. The Genesee Theatre originally closed in 1989, however it re-opened in 2004 following a $23 million renovation. The Genesee Theatre has hosted such acts as Jack Benny, who grew up in Waukegan, Bill Cosby, Ringo Starr, and Soulja Boy. Soulja boy shot part of his music video for "Donk" here.
