St. Johns Red Storm Information

The St. John's Red Storm is the nickname used for the 16 varsity athletic programs of St. John's University. In 2002, the St. John's Red Storm eliminated five men's athletic teams and one women's team in order to comply with Title IX rules prohibiting activities that receive federal assistance from discriminating on the basis of gender. On September 18, 2009 the new mascot, which was voted on by students, was revealed to the St. John's Red Storm; Johnny Thunderbird.

St. John's fans who wish to become new season ticket holders for the 2013-14 season can reserve season tickets beginning Thursday at 9 a.m. by placing a $100 deposit per seat.
