Luis Miguel Gallego Basteri (born April 19, 1970) is a singer of Spanish nationality who has resided almost his entire life in Mexico and is generally considered to be Mexican despite not being a Mexican citizen.  At the age of fifteen, Luis Miguel received a Grammy Award for his duet "Me
Gustas Tal Como Eres" (I Like You Just The Way You Are) with Sheena Easton. In 1999, Luis Miguel released his ninth studio album Amarte Es Un Placer which, in 2000, earned him two Latin
Grammys for being Best Album of the Year and Best Pop Album of the Year.  In April 2010, Luis Miguel was briefly hospitalized at the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
