Juan Manuel Marquez (born August 23, 1973 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico), is a Mexican professional boxer. Juan Manuel Marquez is the brother of Rafael Marquez, who is a former world champion at the Bantamweight and Super bantamweight division. In May 2004, Juan Manuel Marquez fought Manny Pacquiao in a controversial bout that was scored a draw. On November 29, 2007, Juan Manuel Marquez announced that he would defend his championship title against Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao, whom he fought to a controversial draw in 2004.
