performing in the fifth season of the America's Got Talent competition at the age of 10, and finishing in second place. Jackie Evancho started singing when she first watched the musical The Phantom of the Opera on DVD. In November 2009, Jackie Evancho released her independent debut album called Prelude to a Dream.
