Tickets for Andre Rieu

Today, Andre was appointed official patron of the World Music Contest in Kerkrade, the biggest brass and wind festival in the world. To honor him, the wind orchestra "St. Cécile Eijsden" serenaded him. This wind orchestra is famous for creating the beautiful atmosphere before each of our Vrijthof concerts.

André received a special medal from WMC chairman Reg van Loo. In his speech mr. van Loo remembered the concerts in 2009 with 400 brass Limburg players during the Vrijthof concerts. "Andre showed to the world that brass music is a part of the cultural DNA of Limburg". 

Of course Andre felt really honored by this title and the medal!

Vienna is always a special place for us to play: the city at the Blue Danube where Johann Strauss lived and worked, and composed so much of his beautiful music!

Today we played at the large Stadthalle. It was nice to see that our audience gathered already in the sunny afternoon around the concert venue. As Andre found out during the concert, people in the audience came literally from all over the world to Vienna to watch our concert here!

Backstage, there was a special surprise for Andre after the concert: a 'Sold Out' reward since it was the 10th time in a row that we played in Vienna. Tickets for our 2014 concert are available now, don't wait too long because soon it will be our 11th sold out concert in Vienna! :)

André is happy to announce  you that our 2013 Maastricht Concert will be broadcast into cinemas around the world, through our partner CinemaLive.

For those of you in the UK and around Europe, you can join us in Maastricht from the comfort of your local cinema on Saturday 13th July.
 
For fans in Australia and New Zealand, the concert will be time-shifted and played out on Sunday 14th July.
 
Canadian friends can enjoy the concert on Sunday 28th July or Wednesday 7th August.

I'm very sorry that in the Australian media and on non-official sites the rumour has been spread that I'm suffering some illness and that due to medical prescription I had to cancel my promotion tour in May.

This is not true. 

I'm in very good health, we just gave a fabulous Coronation Concert in Amsterdam for a 60.000 people audience and at this moment I'm touring in Denmark.

It was due to the preparations for the Coronation Concert, which was a lot of work as you can imagine, that I had to postpone my promotion tour in Australia. I will do this tour at the end of august and we are all very much looking forward to our Australian concert tour in october.

Do you like fairy tales? So do we! No wonder that after our concert in Odense we visited the house of Hans Christian Andersen, who wrote so many famous fairy tales!

Before our departure to Kopenhagen we enjoyed the warm sun beams of spring on one of the many terraces in Odense together. Fully charged, we leave now to Kopenhagen for already our last concert here in Denmark.
